You can be charged with a drunk in pubic if you are unable to care for yourself, infringe on the safety of others, or interfere with or obstruct streets, sidewalks, etc.

The individual will be taken to a facility for 72-hour treatment and/or evaluation.

Consequence

Up to 6 months in jail and/or fine up to $1,000 (Penal Code 19).
