The Safe Party Initiative aims to reduce problems related to high-risk college student drinking at parties in the Davis community. It focuses on creating safer party environments by building a closer sense of community between students and neighbors, promoting safety at parties and increasing enforcement of alcohol-related laws and policies. Each year, we hand out 1,200 Safe Party Packs before UC Davis Picnic Day to encourage safer partying.
Safe Party Pack Contents
Each Safe Party Pack includes the following items:
- 1 Party Host Checklist for successful party planners
- 2 Important Numbers cards
- 6 “Heads Up!” flyers to hand out to your neighbors
- 1 Tips for a Safe, Fun Party brochure
- 1 trash bag for post-party clean up
- 1 recycling bag for turning in empty bottles for a little extra cash
- 1 Signs of Alcohol Poisoning magnet
- 1 9K bookmark
- 1 Getting What You Want From Drinking brochure
- 2 DUI/BUI information cards for your wallet
- 1 Wanna Party brochure
- 1 Simple Party Recipes and Snack Tips flyer
- 6 key tags
- 1 coupon to take the e-CHUG and get $5 off at Redrum Burger.
